Steel Containers in Film and TV

Steel Containers in Film and TV

Steel containers are very useful; providing highly secure and corrosion resistant options for your business, they are ideal for expert solutions. As experts in the industry, here at Flintham Cabins we’re aware of how much they are represented in films and TV.
Here are a few examples of scenes in films or TV including steel containers:
(WARNING: Spoilers may lie ahead!)

Batman Begins
If you’re a DC fan, you’re likely to have seen this film – and might even remember which scene we’re going to reference. Batman’s first appearance, and his first action scene, includes containers at night in Gotham that create dark corridors. Batman utilises the setting to do what he does best, fight criminals and evil.

Eraser, 1996
In this film, a Witness Protection specialist (portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger), believes that his co-workers are involved with a case about high-tech weapons. Schwarzenegger’s character, John “The Eraser” Kruger, jumps and grabs a shipping container, doing a one-hand hang from it.

I, Robot
This sci-fi film that raises questions about the rights that robots and Artificial Intelligence might need to have in the future, features countless numbers of steel containers. Considering the important scene in which these containers appear, it adds a touch of poignancy to the philosophical debates that the film raises.

Iron Man 3
The big scene, the final showdown between good and evil. Iron Man, explosions, and fights, all surrounded by steel containers. Filmed in a real port, the crew ensured that there were no disruptions to the normal functioning of the business, and it resulted in a great final battle.

Grimm: ‘Goodnight, Sweet Grimm’
The TV show Grimm ended with six seasons of supernatural creatures and fighting, in a different take of the genre that is reminiscent of both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Supernatural. In episode 22 of season two, the season finale involved a gripping scene in which the audience was left terrified for the main character’s life. All in a steel container, of course.

Steel containers can provide a dramatic feel to a film or even add to the action. Their reliability and durability make them a perfect prop for many film and TV genres.
